☀️🐾 Protect Those Paws This Summer! 🐾☀️

Did you know that pavement, concrete, and sand can become hot enough to burn your pet’s paw pads in just minutes? Even on a warm day, surfaces can be much hotter than the air temperature.

Before heading out for a walk, try the 5-second test: Place the back of your hand on the ground. If it's too hot for you to keep it there comfortably for 5 seconds, it's too hot for your pet's paws!

✅ Walk during cooler morning or evening hours
✅ Stick to grassy or shaded areas when possible
✅ Watch for signs of discomfort, limping, or excessive licking of paws
✅ Bring water and take frequent breaks

A little prevention can help keep your furry friends safe and comfortable all summer long. ❤️🐶🐱
