We’re looking for our next Dogs of the Month!

Over the past year, this monthly contest has helped raise over $40,000 for hundreds of dog adoptions nationwide — and your Greyhound could be featured next.

How to Enter:

1️⃣ Post a photo of your dog in the comments below
Dogs only — no people, please!

2️⃣ Include your dog's name

3️⃣ Tell us which adoption you’d like your dog to support

📅 Entries close at the end of the day Monday, June 1st — don’t wait!

Winners will receive:

**Someone guessed it: 15 new Greyhounds are arriving at MGPS at about 0800 tomorrow morning

Guess what we did on our trip to KS? We visited the new Greyhounds that are arriving at MGPS tomorrow at 8 AM! i am getting snuggled by Luci and and Anastasia is waiting for another to come in from outside 💗 Guess how many are coming in this transport?

Yuki is ready to head home to her foster home to recover. In true puppy fashion, now will be the hard part of having her on crate rest/no jumping or running around for two weeks!!

Sweet Yuki is resting well and will go back with her foster for her recovery period of a couple weeks before being available for adoption. MGPS will be looking at all of the applications that come in for her and will look for the best home to match what she needs.

Yuki asked me to let you know that only one family will be able to bring her home but she has many friends here who have been at the kennel longer than her and are also only one year old!

One year old girls are: Kiss, Silver, Melody, Sugar, Schmooze, Nexi, Vox and boys are: Bouncy & Fire! All so young and looking for their families to come and adopted them. AND both Queen and Abby are only two years old!

Yuki is post op day #1 and she is doing amazing! Eating well, peeing/pooping, taking her medications easily, and slept well overnight. She still can’t understand what happened, but she is so sweet about it.
There have been a lot of interest in Yuki and I get it, who wouldn’t want to adopt her!!
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application at greyhoundplacement.com. We do adopt out of state to the New England area and eastern Canada on a case by case basis. All approved adopters need to come to Augusta Maine for the adoption appointment. If for any reason the Greyhound needs to be rehomed, they must be brought back to MGPS.
Adopter will be picked that is the best match for Yuki. Please also consider being open to meeting and adopting any of the other one year old Greyhounds that have been trying to wait patiently for their family to come and adopt them.
