Meet Station 10 aka the kitten that fell into the CVS storm drain! Lori Van Kluyve helped identify the source of the cries. Dylan Collins, Antonio Lee Browner and Matthew Rich, of Engine Company No. 10 witb the Augusta Fire Department who immediately came to help with the rescue 🐾. Along with our Animal Control Supervisor and Deputy Director we worked together and successfully got this precious baby out of the storm drain. Station 10 was so happy to be saved! Once dry and warm Station 10 ate and slept all day!

Our dog kennels are starting to get full here at Augusta Animal Services. All dog adoption today are $10 from 12-7PM, June 8th. Our cats are also still $20 for Adopt a cat month! Come down to see us today and meet with our furry friends!

Kai's Doggy Day Out!

Kai got to spend the afternoon enjoying the Fort Gordan Dog Park and driving around the base. Ending with a Pup Cup before heading back to the shelter. She was happy and enjoyed the day!

It’s National Adopt-a-Cat Month!

June marks the height of kitten season, when animal shelters and rescues are often overwhelmed with nursing mothers and litters of kittens brought in by caring community members. To help make room for these deserving cats and kittens, we’re celebrating all month long with a special adoption promotion!

Through June 30, all cat and kitten adoptions at our shelter are just $20.

Wondering what comes with your new feline friend?

Every cat and kitten adopted from us is:
- Spayed or neutered
- Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations
- Vaccinated against rabies if 4 months of age or older
- And of course a companion to cuddle up to after a long day at work!

There’s never been a better time to open your heart and home to a cat in need.

Please note that this promotion applies only to cats and kittens adopted directly through our shelter. Adoption fees for cats housed with our wonderful off-site adoption partners will remain unchanged at their respective locations.

This Malinois mix is giving golden retriever energy in the best way possible.

Elvis spent the day out exploring and was an absolute gentleman from start to finish. Even though he’s a big guy, he was incredibly gentle on the leash, well behaved in the car, and loved soaking up attention from everyone he met. He had a blast checking everything out and while treats weren’t really his thing, he definitely couldn’t resist a pup cup. ❤️

Elvis is such a sweet soul and truly deserves a loving home. Whoever gets to call this handsome boy theirs is going to be very lucky.
