Update on Willow's babies. They will be 8 weeks old on Friday, but I'm keeping them a little longer since they lost their mother at 4 weeks old and on the smaller side. I'm hoping they will go to a home together❤. I've also named them nature names, in memory of Willow.

Eyes are open! This litter is very squirmy and jumpy. Jeanie, as a first time mother, is taking wonderful care of them. I'm not sure if they have the Rex fur yet. I can't wait to see them grow up.

And we have babies!! Jeanie had her 8 little ones this morning. There's 1 Black Otter, 2 Black, and 5 Broken Blacks but Jeanie accidentally laid on one so 7 babies. She made two separate nests, one with 5 and one with 2🤷‍♀️ so I put them all together. Jeanie was getting a little angry with me touching her babies but she's still a sweetie💕

I've decided to breed Cheerio, from Cleo (Lionhead) x Lincoln (Creme d'Argent), to Gunther (Creme d'Argent) yesterday. This would Cheerio's first time and Gunther's umpteen time lol. Cheerio has always been a little skittish but I know she would make a good mother💕

Sad week for Bunny Barn Boutique. There was a mink that attacked Willow and her 3 babies at the time through the bottom of her wire cage. A piece of Willow's paw ripped out, showing the toe bone. I treated her with Red Kote and antibiotics. it was healing, but then she wouldn't use her back legs at all and scooted everywhere. most likely a spinal injury. One of her babies was also injured, showing his whole leg bone, so I had to cull him. Willow passed away today. She was the sweetest doe ever, loved being held and petted. Her 2 five week old babies are doing well.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Girl. You'll be missed❤
