🦴 Dog treats only — we're keeping the candy away from the pups!
🐾 Dogs MUST be leashed.

Monday we had a little FUN with our training! 🐾❤️

We slowed things down and worked through obstacles, practiced our sits, experienced different textures and, most importantly, built **lots and lots of trust**.

Watching these teams grow in confidence, communication and trust week after week is honestly one of my favorite parts. 🥹❤️

It may look like we’re just playing with obstacles… but so much learning is happening along the way!

So proud of these teams and all the little moments that are adding up to BIG progress! 🐶✨

**This is what we train for.** ❤️🐾

Today was Brutus and Milo’s very first stop as a **Certified Therapy Team**, and to say this was one of the most rewarding experiences would be a complete understatement. 🥹

Watching these two bring light, happiness, and so many smiles to the residents today filled my heart in a way that is hard to put into words. Seeing the joy they brought with them reminded me exactly why all those hours of training, practicing, and learning together were worth every minute.

There is something incredibly special about being able to give back to your community, and getting to do it alongside my two boys makes it even more meaningful. ❤️

What started as an idea has turned into something that has completely filled my heart. ❤️ 🐾

Week after week, I’ve had the privilege of watching these teams learn, grow, struggle, figure things out, celebrate the little victories, and become stronger together. And there are moments when I stand back and watch them, and I’m just overwhelmed with pride.

I wish I could somehow put into words the feeling in my heart when I see a dog finally understand something they’ve been working on… when a handler realizes, *“We did it!”*… or when I see the bond between a dog and their person getting stronger right in front of me.

Those moments mean more to me than I could ever explain. They truly overflow my cup. 🥹🐾

I don’t think I realized just how much I missed being part of the dog world until I found myself right back in it. These dogs, these people, these teams… they have reminded me just how much this is where my heart belongs.

To every person who trusted me with their dog and allowed me to be a small part of your journey—**thank you.** You have no idea what it means to me.

And this is only the beginning. ❤️

Next year, I’m planning to add more opportunities for those teams who aren’t ready to stop learning—classes that will continue to challenge your pups, build on the foundation we’ve created, and give us even more opportunities to grow together.

I’m so excited for what’s ahead.

Because if July taught me anything, it’s that sometimes the things we try on a whim end up becoming the things our hearts needed all along. ❤️🐶

🐾😂 Do any of you feel like **YOU’RE the one being played** during Basic Obedience classes?!

Because your dog is sitting there thinking, *“I know exactly what you want… but how many treats are we talking?”* 😂🐶

Apparently, **playing dumb is part of the training strategy!** 🤣

🐾❤️ These teams were UP for the challenge this week in Distraction Class! ❤️🐾

Tonight, we took what we’ve been practicing in Basic Obedience and put those skills to the test with some BIG distractions!

We practiced walking around a playground FULL of kids playing — working on staying focused and calmly moving past all the excitement.

Then we practiced our sit/stay right next to the playground. Instead of reacting to all the activity around them, the dogs had to simply sit, stay and watch the kids play. Talk about self-control!

And then came our adorable little helper with treats! Each team had to approach, put their dog into a sit or down, and have their dog wait while our little helper offered a treat. The dogs had to resist the temptation and wait until their handler gave them the release before accepting it.

🐕‍🦺 And my favorite... THE DOG WEAVE! 😍

Handlers lined up with their dogs in a sit or down while another handler and their dog weaved through the line. This exercise takes focus, patience, trust and self-control — especially when another dog is walking right past you!

And these teams... KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK tonight! 👏👏👏

When I started offering these classes, my hope was to help people build a foundation with their dogs that would carry far beyond the classroom. Tonight was exactly that.

These teams are putting in the work. They're showing up. They're learning together. They're making mistakes, trying again and celebrating the little victories along the way.

And I couldn't be more proud to be a small part of their journey. 🥹❤️

Week 3… and these teams are already showing me just how special this group is. 🐾 ❤️

🐾 Successful Week 3! 🐾

Tonight we worked on SIT/STAY, and these teams continue to make me so proud! ❤️🐶

I didn’t get everyone photographed tonight, but please know that every single dog and handler in this round of Basic Obedience is putting in the work, and it shows!

Watching the dogs learn, the handlers gain confidence, and the connection between each team grow week after week is one of my favorite parts of teaching these classes. 🥰

We’re building the foundation for calm, well-mannered dogs who can take the skills they learn here and use them in real-life situations.

So proud of this group! Keep practicing, stay consistent, and remember… progress doesn’t happen overnight, but every little step counts! 🐾❤️

Some families love the experience of group obedience classes, where they get to learn alongside their dog, practice together, and build that relationship through hands-on training. That’s exactly what we offer, and I absolutely love watching those relationships grow. 🥰 BUT we also understand that group classes aren’t the right fit for everyone.
