Meet Titan! 🐾

Titan came to us as a stray after being found at a truck stop. When no owner came forward to claim him, he became safe in our care—and boy, has he made an impression!

This big mixed-breed boy is full of energy, tenacity, and curiosity. He loves exploring everything around him, and while most dogs are easy to win over with a treat, Titan is proving to be a little more mysterious. Maybe we just haven’t found his kryptonite yet!

We’re still getting to know Titan, but we’re sure his personality will continue to shine with time. One thing is certain: you definitely can’t miss this handsome big boy.

Stay tuned as we learn more about Titan and help him find the loving home he deserves. 💙

Meet Scooby! 🐾

Scooby came to us as a stray who clearly needed to gain a pound or two. When no one came forward to claim him, he joined us on the adoption floor—where he has been gaining both weight and confidence ever since.

Every day, we learn a little more about this smart, sweet boy. He already knew how to sit for a treat when he arrived, and treats are definitely one of his favorite things! Scooby is young, eager to learn, and ready for an active home that can give him the exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation he needs to thrive.

Could Scooby be your new adventure buddy? Stop by Greater Cayuga SPCA in Auburn, NY to meet him!

Do you know me? 🐾

This beautiful big boy came to us yesterday, 10/17, when he was found in the middle of the road on 5 & 20 near Half Acre Rd. in Aurelius.
He was not found to be injured, but in very good health.
He was scanned for a microchip, and none was found.
He is very a friendly and large neutered male.
If you know him, please reach out so we can return him home!

On Tuesday, October 13th, the Greater Cayuga SPCA’s Animal Rescue Team was contacted by New York State Troopers after they discovered an incredibly heartbreaking situation.

Our Animal Rescue Team stepped in to provide the specialized rescue, transportation, care, and safe harbor these animals needed. For Lucey, that meant coordinating specialized veterinary care to address severe matting that encased her body and covered her eyes, relieving her discomfort and giving her a chance to begin healing.

Lucey and company have a long road to recovery ahead, but they are now safe, receiving the care they need, and surrounded by a community that wants nothing more than to see them thrive.

Stories like Lucey’s demonstrate why partnerships between law enforcement and animal welfare organizations matter. Law enforcement responds to investigate and address the circumstances surrounding these cases. While our Animal Rescue Team provides the animal-care expertise, resources, and safe housing needed to help animals through the next steps of their journey.

We are grateful to the New York State Troopers for their dedication to helping animals in crisis and for their continued partnership in ensuring these animals receive the care and protection they need. ❤️
