Yes, we make a profit on our litters.

This is a touchy subject in the world of puppies. So many people feel passionate that breeders should NOT be making a profit off of their puppies but rather raise puppies out of the kindness of their hearts.

However, this is my full time job outside of being a Momma. This program contributes to our family's livelihood and no business is considered successful without the business being self sufficient and making a yearly profit.

Our program is extremely expensive to run. The cost of purchasing high end breeding stock, adult vet costs, litter vet costs, health and genetic testing, progesterone testing, ultrasounds, monthly preventions, litter preventatives, kibble for the adult dogs and puppies, whelping box supplies, curriculum supplies, curriculum training courses, whelping training courses, social media month fees, software fees, photography supplies, cleaning supplies, and so much more all add up to a large lump sum each year. In order to continue as a small business/program we have to be self sufficient.

The time associated with communicating with families, working on social media content, completing training courses, whelping puppies, raising puppies, constantly cleaning, taking and editing photos, updating our website, working with puppies each day, crate training, potty training, driving to vet appointments, and temperament testing consumes my life for 8+ solid weeks 24/7 with very litter. Every breeder should be paid for the work they put into each litter. We don't expect anyone else to work for free.

The daily sacrifices our family makes, the birthdays and holiday parties we miss when raising puppies, the vacations we skip, and the physical and mental toll raising puppy takes on my body is costly. But it's worth it each and every time.

Yes, we make a profit. Yes, our program is thriving. God has blessed us tremendously as we continue to bless new families with each and every litter.
