East University Veterinary Hospital

East University Veterinary Hospital East University Veterinary Hospital opened for business in 1991 as a full service small animal hospital.

At East University Veterinary Hospital, our mission is to provide the highest level of professional veterinary care, a strong relationship with our clients, and an upbeat environment where tails wag, cats purr, and both clients and staff find reasons to s We purchased the hospital from its original owners March 1, 2000. My wife and I had just had our first child and knew Auburn was a great place t

o raise a family and we were eager to return to the Auburn/Opelika area. Since that time, the clinic and our family has grown by leaps and bounds. We now have three daughters, and the clinic family has expanded as well. In 2003 we added a part time Veterinarian to accommodate more patients. In 2009 we made that a full time position, allowing us to see additional patients and spend more time with each patient and their owners. EUVH has grown and changed in the world of technology also. We have always practiced progressive medicine, with an emphasis being on preventative health; and we stay on top of developments in Veterinary medicine to allow us to offer the best for your pet. We have state-of-the-art blood work equipment, and we use digital radiology, including ultrasound.

People of EUVH! Huge Shoutout!🚨

Please welcome our newest member of the crew….🥁
Daniel Henderson, CVPM👔💼

Daniel started working for us recently and is now a very trusted and capable member of our hospital administration. When it comes to financial management and human resources, he has been keeping things running very smoothly. He also ensures that everyone’s birthdays are extra special and that there are plenty of Publix BOGOs in the break room for everyone to snack on🍿🥨

He is the biggest Auburn sports fan, golfer, and you may see him walking his dog, Ozzie, around town as well!🐕‍🦺🏞️
(Ozzie has also proved to be an added benefit and the best clinic dog!)

Thank you for joining our crew, Daniel!

A very happy birthday to our fearless leader, KP! We love you so much and truly appreciate everything you do. You are our heart!❤️💐

We’re soaking up the sunshine and loving the shift from showers to flowers!🌼💐

Ticks are small, but the problems they cause can be serious. As weather warms and pets spend more time outside, it helps to know where ticks hide and how to check for them.

Ticks often wait on tall grass, brush and leaf piles along the edges of yards, parks and trails. After outdoor time, a slow, thorough check can help you spot them early.

We can also recommend year-round parasite prevention that fits your pet and your local area so you do not have to guess.

National Puppy Day is the perfect excuse to show off the dog who runs your home. Whether they are a brand-new puppy or simply young at heart, we would love to see them.

Share a favorite photo and tell us their name. If there is a short story behind their best habit or funniest quirk, feel free to include that too. The little details help our community stay connected to what matters most.

A little luck looks good on every pet.

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, share a photo of your dog or cat in their green gear and tell us what makes them your lucky companion.

Our stories and photos help brighten everyone’s feeds and remind them how special pets really are.

Curious pets can find trouble in places people do not always expect. National Poison Prevention Week is a good reminder to look around the home from a pet’s point of view.

Common risks include human medications on nightstands, certain houseplants and flowers, chocolate and xylitol sweetened treats, and cleaning or yard products left within reach.

If a pet ever seems off after getting into something, do not wait for symptoms to worsen. Call the ASPCA Poison Helpline below for immediate assistance and notify our clinic as soon as possible for further treatment and guidance.
