Spring is here! With warmer weather and sunny days, mosquitoes are back—which means an increased risk of heartworm disease for your pets.

Since April is Heartworm Awareness Month, we’re offering a heartworm prevention special through April 30th!

Stop by or give us a call to make sure your pets are protected as soon as possible. We’ve also included a helpful link with more information about how heartworms are contracted and what you need to know to keep your pets safe.

January 4th, 2026 marks Saugahatchee Animal Hospital’s TEN year anniversary! We would like to thank everyone who has supported us through the years. Without you this wouldn’t be possible. Hey everyone! If anyone is interested in purchasing raffle tickets to help S. A. Y. Wow Auburn, Loachapoka and surrounding communities showed up and showed out! Thank you to everyone who shared our post or donated to the cause of helping Hurricane Helene victims. We had so much donations! We actually had to find larger trailers to accommodate so much donations! ❤️Thank you everyone! ❤️If you missed this opportunity I would encourage others to donate to other locals sending help in the near future. There will be other opportunities. Many affected areas have a long road ahead of them. A special thanks to Tekla and Brandon Fowler family with Alabama Soil Foods, Liz and Chris Loyd family, Jenn amd Troy Heilman with RTN dog Training and boarding and Julie and Tim McGowin family for gathering supplies, packing, loading and helping get these supplies to their destination! The trucks will leave first thing tomorrow morning so everyone please say a prayer that the people will get there safely and the supplies will benefit the victims soon!
