Auburn Valley Humane Society is open 6 days a week 11am-6pm, closed to the public on Thursdays. Check out our website to view available animals! Please note, at this time, only 3 animals are shown at a time, you need to scroll to see more animals. Animals who are too young to be adopted or need medical care will not be listed on our adoption page; however, our website updates every 6 minutes so ch

eck back often! We welcome walk-in visitors for cats and dogs during regular business hours. Please let the front desk know if you see a dog you would like to meet! Meet-and-greets with dogs are subject to staff availability. Depending on how busy it is, you may need to wait a bit for assistance or schedule a visit and get to know the animal at a later time. Adoptions start to wrap up around 5:30pm. All pets adopted from AVHS are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receive a free initial vet exam.

Long-term foster dog with Auburn Valley Humane Society in need of new home!

Bubba is the definition of joy in motion. He’s a happy, playful six-year-old who believes life is better with a ball in your mouth and a friend by your side. Whether it’s a game of fetch or a cozy nap with his favorite “emotional support” toy, Bubba’s zest for life is contagious.

Sadly, this lovable goofball has been waiting over a year for his forever family to find him. After thriving in a nurturing foster home where he’s learned that the world isn’t such a scary place, Bubba is once again in need of help. His current foster situation will soon come to an end, and the Auburn Valley Humane Society is urgently seeking a new foster or a forever home for this resilient boy.

Bubba would do best in a calm, adult household with people who understand that every great friendship takes a little patience and a lot of love. He can be a bit sensitive to handling, especially in new environments or at the vet, so a gentle touch and a Fear Free-minded veterinarian will help him continue to thrive.

Bubba’s adoption fee is fully sponsored, so all he needs is someone with room in their heart and home. He’s available now for adoption, foster, or transfer.

“Bubba has come such a long way. He’s learned to trust, to relax, and to enjoy life again. All he needs now is a companion to share that happiness with. I hope someone finally steps up to love him back the way he deserves.” said a volunteer from Auburn Valley Humane Society.

If someone out there has been waiting for a sign to open their home to a loyal companion, this is it. Bubba is waiting.

ADOPTION UPDATE “We changed Biscuit’s name to Drago and he fits into our family perfectly! He has no issues using his little voice to tell us what he wants/needs! He’s a snuggle bug with his fur sister as they both love sunbathing outside! He likes to play chase with his fur brother! My only regret is not coming down sooner to get him. 🥹”
