Who’s got room for one foster dog until May 1st ?
Female pitty, good with dogs, cats, kids. Housebroken, not spayed (we can raise money to make that happen). Have a couple people who can help pitch in for food, etc.

Can anyone take two German shepherds asap? Owner cannot keep them in her current living situation and needs to find them a place like tomorrow. I know NOTHING about these dogs, other than what I’ve been told (see screenshot below). I have NOT met them, and they will need to be updated on vaccines.

I apologize for the silence on the page these past few weeks, things have been pretty heavy in the house. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to Mr Emmett. It was made very clear that he was suffering due to the lifestyle he lived prior to coming into the rescue. Our endless efforts made him more comfortable for the last few months, but just weren’t enough. Our vets all suggested kindly, the same outcome for his sake. He left this world with a belly full of food and the most comfort and love he had ever received.

💚He and evie went to see the doctor together today. She just needed some booster vaccines, and he had another work up. 💚
💜His skin shows improvement, however his ears do not. Getting ear medication into his EXTREMELY sore ears has posed a bit of a challenge. We are trying a new round of antibiotics, but ultimately he needs to be completely sedated and intubated for a deep cleaning to get everything out of his ears. I am waiting on an estimate for that currently. He was absolutely exhausted on the ride home, and when it was time to get out he managed to get himself stuck 😂♥️ he had no desire to move, as I think he was quite comfortable where he was 😂😂

They both have another appointment on the 24th for Evies last round of vaccines, and another recheck for Emmett. If his ears have not improved, he will be sedated and have them cleaned the way he will be most comfortable.

We are paying for everything not covered by donation out of pocket, and finances are playing a role in scheduling his eye surgery. His eyes have made 0 improvements even with medication. Any and all help is so greatly appreciated so we can get him on the schedule for surgery🆘 If you can’t donate, please share share share and let’s make Emmett famous ♥️

The expectation that training can transform a dogs issues overnight is an extremely common mistake. Some problems are surface issues and can be addressed and “fixed” quickly. Others are more deeply ingrained (highly reactive or fearful dogs) and the resolution to those issues may not be far more complex. Believing that a few sessions can help you change the dog entirely is not only unrealistic and foolish but possibly dangerous. Find someone knowledgeable to help you establish and achieve the goals you set with your dog.
