🐴🧣 Fall Educational Evening: Winter Prep Edition! 🧣🐴

We hope you'll join us for the Fall Edition of our Educational Evenings @ Care Fur Life Horse Rescue! This time the theme is Winter Prep. We will have three short, informational talks on how to best care for your horse as we head into the colder months, plus a blanket swap!

🔵 6:00 — "Riding in the Winter 101" with Leanna Vandlen of Vandlen Equine Massage and Bodywork
🟠 6:30 — "Pre-Winter Check-In (Quality of Life) and General Winter Barn Prep" with Amanda Sprynczynatyk of Care Fur Life Horse Rescue

🧥 Blanket Swap: Bring the blankets you aren't using! Please make sure they're clean, not in need of repair, and tagged with size and price.

Come learn something new, swap some gear, and get your horse ready for winter with us! See you there. 🐎❄️

Beau’s second Emerald Downs adventure!

Beau reminded us all how wonderful and brave he is today. We took another trip down to Emerald Downs to get his staples removed.

Since it was a race day, our normal parking spot was full. So we had to park down the road and walk to our appointment.

We couldn’t be more proud of how he handled all of it! And we are happy to report he is healing up great.🥕✨

The Spice Girls✨

Rosemary, Sage, and Thyme.

These three mares joined the Care Fur Life herd in March of 2025. Watching their bellies fill back in and the life come back into their eyes has been nothing short of amazing.

It’s not every day you trailer one of your 29 year old rescues to emerald downs race track.

But this is why it is so important we prepare our horses for real world emergencies. We want all our horses to approach new situations calmly and curiously.

Beau caught himself on the fence this weekend and needed a trip to the emergency vet to remove a splinter from his neck.

Beau handled everything in stride and now has 10 staples and one heck on a story to tell the rest of the herd.

Happy to report Beaus is doing well after his procedure and receiving top notch recovery care.
