Some words for a good dog.
Almost two years ago, we lost our sweet girl, Junie, in a tragic accident in the farm. A few months later a little peach dog wandered up to Brooks, looking like she was on her way out of life. We thought she was lost, but later learned she and two other dogs were abandoned for a few weeks in a trailer, and were cut loose. Animal control was called to get the other dogs, but we scooped “Peaches” up and took her home thinking she wouldn’t do well or get adopted at the shelter with her condition.
She quickly sprung to life on the farm and became a sweet friend to all boarders and critters here. She filled a hurting hole in my heart after losing June. She loved running behind the buggy with Sam, eating blueberries off the bush, loving on all the kiddos, and teaching lessons with me. Peaches was one of the happiest and most grateful dogs I’ve had the privilege of taking care of. She was tough as nails and always had a great day loving all her friends and new family. She had some health issues from years of neglect that caught up with her and she was quickly and peacefully laid to rest last night ❤️
