🐾 Training Tip Tuesday! 🐾

A solid recall command could literally save your dog's life!

Two golden rules for building a reliable "come":

NEVER call your dog for something unpleasant (bath, nail trim, end of play). If you need them for something they won't enjoy, go get them! You want "come" to predict the BEST thing in the world!

Make it a PARTY every single time they respond. Treats, praise, excitement! Be worth running to! 🎉

Practice in low distraction areas first, then slowly add distance and distractions as they improve.

Socialization is about SO much more than just playdates!

True socialization means exposing your dog to new sights, sounds, people, and environments in a calm and positive way. The most important thing? Never force it! Let your dog approach new things at their own pace and reward calm, curious behavior.

The prime socialization window is 8 to 16 weeks old but it is NEVER too late to start building your dog's confidence! 🐕
