RIP Dehydrator number 2. You did so much work for us and hung on as long as you could with the demands we had! You did your best little one!

Yesterday we put some yams in dehydrator 1 and 2. We came back from an afternoon out and Andy says “it smells like something burning” but we also had dehydrator 4 doing pumpkin which when dehydrating has almost a burning scent but not quite- I replied with “that’s the pumpkin” and checked everything to be sure and it all looked fine and well into the tasks. After dinner the dehydrators turned off, but dehydrator 2 still had its light on which I thought was weird so I checked it out and it was waaaaay hotter than where I set the temp, hsj compared to dehydrator 1 that was set exactly the same and the yams were not a beautiful fall orange they were in dehydrator 1 but burnt! What happened?! I think the temp gauge went out and it was just running full blast ignoring the temp I set it to. So we say good bye to dehydrator 2.

Don’t worry- dehydrators 1, 3 and big 4 are holding on strong!!
