Sheba went missing from her owner when they were walking into the vet. Volunteers needed for today!! Please sign up & help search. The more eyes the better!!!

🚨 GRID SEARCH-VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Sheba, CASE 483

Our great friends at K-9 Trackers have completed multiple independent scent tracks on Sheba, and all tracks consistently led back to the same grid section. Based on these findings, MMESAR will be conducting a coordinated boots on the ground grid search and needs volunteers to help thoroughly search this section of forest.

Our primary goal is to determine whether Sheba is hiding within this dense section of vegetation. If she is present, our coordinated search effort may apply just enough pressure to encourage her to move from cover and reveal her location.

Volunteers will also be watching for her harness, leash, or any other clues that could help guide ongoing search efforts.

While we remain hopeful that Sheba is alive and still in the area, this operation will also help us thoroughly clear this section of the search grid and bring us one step closer to answers for Sheba and her family.

A Good Samaritan found this three huskateers. Does anyone know where they belong? I believe they were found with the harnesses on, so someone has to be missing them. One was scanned for a chip, the others were not. We’re going to try to get all 3 scanned so can see if the other 2 have a chip. Please share far and wide so we can find their people!!

Dogs running & barking at a fence line is not playing. It’s a bad unwanted behavior that can escalate. It can also translate to other situations, such as dogs coming to daycare or boarding. When a dog practices running & barking at a fence line, that’s called barrier reactivity. If dogs display barrier reactivity during boarding or daycare we may have to dismiss them, for their safety, if it cannot be stopped. Good behaviors start with a solid training routine at home.

Today we send off one of our pet care counselors, Alejandra, onto her next journey. As part of her graduation requirements from UNT, Ale, has taken an internship & today is her last day at Canine Cowboy. She has been with us for 2 years and has been an amazing member of our team. We are so so so sad she is leaving us but we are so excited for her next chapter as she prepares to graduate from UNT. We wish Ale nothing but the best in all her future endeavors. Good luck Ale!!
