Joke of the Week #36! 🤣

🤍Marshmellow is our kitten to feature today!

This all-black boy is starting to be overlooked due to his color. Black cats like him are are less likely to be adopted because their dark coloring can make them seem less noticeable in photos and at first glance. Some people still associate black cats with bad luck unfortunately.🐈‍⬛

Marshmellow wants to change that. He hopes to steal the heart of the next person who visits his room and is ready to prove that kitties who look like him can be as sweet as any other feline no matter the color. 🖤

To visit him this week, stop out to our shelter during open hours. We're open:

We have a wonderful update on our beloved Salsa!! 🐾

It’s been officially one month since her adoption and her owners said she is the sweetest baby. She barely swats now and when she does, she communicates well beforehand so they know when to back off. She actually warmed up to the cats quicker than they expected. Salsa is also doing a great job learning the layout of their house! 🏠

What an amazing update on this blind girl!! Thank you for giving her a chance at a great life! 😊

🐾 TODAY IS INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CHARITY — AND MOCHI IS WHY YOUR DONATIONS MATTER. 🐾

Sometimes, saying “yes” to an animal in need is a matter of life, love, and getting them the medical care they need right now. ❤️

Meet Mochi — formerly our little gunshot kitty.

When Mochi came to us, he was injured, frightened, and in desperate need of medical attention. Because of your donations, we were able to say YES. We were able to get him the veterinary care he needed quickly, give him time to heal, and give him the chance to find the loving home he deserved.

And now… just look at him. 🥹❤️

Mochi has officially been adopted by one of our previous adopters, and we couldn't be happier! He gets around beautifully on his three legs and has settled right into his new life. He’s been meeting his new kitty siblings, loving every minute with them, and soaking up all the love from his new parents.

And apparently, Mochi has decided his new career is being a professional cuddle bug. 🥰 He loves to purr, loves attention, and is clearly very happy to be home.

These pictures are a whole lot happier than the ones we shared when he first came to us.

Theo is back 😭

This handsome 2½ year old was returned to us and is now looking for a new home where life is a little calmer. His previous home was a busy household, and all the chaos became stressful for him. He’s hoping his next home will be a little more peaceful and give him the chance to truly relax and be his best self. 🥰

Theo also has a special diet that he needs to stick to. Thankfully, his food is non-prescription and comes in both wet and dry varieties, but it is a little more expensive than typical cat food. We would LOVE some help keeping Theo stocked up while he waits for his forever home! His food has been added to our Amazon 📦 wish list if you’d like to send some his way. And one VERY important thing about Theo… this boy LOVES food. 😂 He will happily eat just about anything he can get his paws on! His handsome face may make it very difficult to say no, but his future family will need to stay strong and stick to his diet. 😉

❤️ This adoption feels extra special.

After losing Chia, a senior kitty she adopted from us in January, to cancer, this adopter knew she wasn't quite ready to stop having a feline companion by her side.

She had never had a kitten before, and the thought of getting to watch one grow up was something she was incredibly excited about. 🥹

And then there was Maraschino Cherry. 🍒 She immediately melted into her new mom's arms, making it pretty clear it was meant to be.

We couldn't be happier to see one of our previous adopters return to us and leave with another special kitty to love. Here's to many, many happy years together! 🐾❤️

Meet Indi, BenGo, and Tompkins 😺

🧡Indi: This female tortie is named after Innovative Hair Designs. This small business is fairly new to Attica. The owner, Sam, specializes in haircuts, styling, and facial waxes. With school coming up soon, we're sure she would be happy to get everyone freshened up and ready to look their best!

🤎 BenGo: This kitten is a male brown tabby. Located right on Main St., BenGo's has been around for over a decade. They have gas pumps, as well as snacks, ice cream, and more. They also have a bottle and can redemption bin for us outside in the parking lot where you can drop your cans and bottles off anytime. It's a small way to make a difference!

🖤 Tompkins: This handsome tuxedo is named after Tompkins Insurance Agencies right here in the village. This business always puts their clients before everything else when delivering insurance strategies and financial solutions.

These 4-month-old siblings would love to get some applications ASAP so they can finally head home! 🏠🕥We're open tonight until 7pm and tomorrow from 1-4pm. They can't wait to meet you!

What's better than adopting one kitten? Adopting two! 💞

Sprinkles and Apricot may be unrelated, but that doesn't stop them from taking a relaxing nap together, not to mention looking absolutely picture perfect. 😍
