Thank you all who helped make yesterday's barrel races at Neversink Farm such a fun success! Our goal is to offer a venue and event that is needed in our area. While Chincoteague is known for horses there are few opportunities to really interact with them-- we are working to offer this to those who are fortunate to live in the area as well as visitors through our arena events.

Congratulations to Cailee Shubert for envisioning, planning and organizing the event!

Thank you to our amazing amazing farm family for coming out to help! Heather, Carolyn, Dawn & Mike, Christina, Carol, Martha for all of the preparation and event help! We couldn't do this without you guys!

We thank and congratulate the participants and winners! We saw some amazing fast rides and the P*e Wees stole our hearts!

We thank the Chincoteague mare The World Famous Molly B! She rode all 3 P*e Wees and then ran in her first race later and did a great job! Way to go Molly! We love that little red head!

We are also thankful for perfect weather for the event!

At Neversink Farm today...it's a bit like Christmas with the anticipation of our first Barrel Race today!

Cailee Shubert and the team has been working hard to have everything prepared! The farm looks great!

Everyone is so excited and we can't wait to see everyone come and enjoy an outdoors equestrian event right here in the Chincoteague/Atlantic area!

Practice starts at 10. The event at noon. Public welcome! Bring a chair. Good and beverages available.

To help keep everything organized at the farm this Saturday, here is the designated parking areas for horse trailers and regular vehicles.

Our staff and volunteers will be there to help direct everyone where to park upon arrival, so please follow their instructions to help keep things running smoothly.

Good morning from Neversink Farm!

While no one likes to be in the rain (note: this applies to humans only! Many of the horses at the farm choose to stay out in the rain on purpose especially the Chincoteagues it seems!). We are grateful for it!

At the farm we love to see green grass for grazing and it was extraordinarily dry for spring. As a result the grass was already thinking of going brown.

Those are mostly the cool season grasses. We've worked hard on our pastures -- adding organics, seeding, w**d management. The farm looks great thanks to our team! (Dawn, Mike, Jen, Martha, Cailee, Carol, John, Christina, Scott, Elissa-- all help make it beautiful!)

But when we plant pastures we use a mix of warm and cool season grasses. Being so dry, the warm season varieties didn't have much moisture to get their post winter pop. Hoping the rain gets us back on track!

But the rain has changed that and it's great to see the green again!

As we now are in Summer mode, alot is going on!

- our first barrel race! We believe that our area needs fun equestrian things to do as part of our amazing equine culture! Come see us this Saturday! All are welcome! Food and beverages available. The weather is looking perfect!!

- our guests are enjoying the farm facilities -- the riding arena, the trails, the on site training and yes the Neversink Bistro!

- training! A new capability we added this year! Every day we see training for both rider and horse. A lot of progress! We love watching Cailee Shubert help all! Especially the amazing Molly B!

- more events are planned for this summer so stay tuned!!

We do currently have limited board space available. Check with us!
