🐾 BIG NEWS FROM THE RVW BUILD SITE! 🔨🐱

The Founders’ packages are officially hitting the road! 📦💜

We’ve started sending out packages to the amazing people who jumped in early and said, “I’m All In for Cats.” ❤️🐾

And… we have a very good problem. 😸

We ran out of size LARGE Founding Human shirts!

Yep. You guys actually did that. 😂

The good news? More Large shirts are already on the way! 👕📦

Honestly, we couldn’t be happier about running out. Every sold-out shirt is a little reminder that this crazy dream of ours is becoming something REAL.

Meanwhile, the RVW construction crew (mostly cats, occasionally supervised by humans) is hard at work. 🦺🐈🔨

The buildout is moving forward. Walls are taking shape. Equipment is arriving. Plans are becoming reality.

And every day, we get a little closer to opening the doors and saying:

“Welcome to RipVanWhisker.” 🐾☕️💜

RipVanWhisker Cat Café is officially moving from an idea on a page to a real place in Atlantic City—and we’ve been updating the website to reflect what’s happening behind the scenes.

The Founding Humans campaign is still open, and we’re inviting a few more people to get in on the beginning.

🔨 A Little More Progress at RipVanWhisker
Things are starting to look a little different inside the future home of RipVanWhisker Cat Café. 🐾
We've got some of the equipment starting to arrive — prep tables, shelving, and a pretty cool sink that will definitely be getting plenty of use once we're up and running.
And probably one of the biggest changes you can see in these pictures: all of the old flooring is finally gone. There's still a LOT to do, but every time I walk in and see another piece of the puzzle coming together, it makes this whole thing feel a little more real.
We're continuing to make progress, one step at a time.
And for all of you who jumped in early and became Founding Humans — I haven't forgotten about you. ❤️🐱
Founder's packages will start going out at the beginning of next week.
You've supported this idea before there was even a finished café to walk into. I can't wait to start getting those packages into your hands.

🐾 Something BIG is taking shape at RipVanWhisker…

We’ve been dreaming, planning, designing, negotiating, fundraising and doing A LOT of behind-the-scenes work to bring RipVanWhisker Cat Café to Atlantic City.

Now we’re starting to imagine what it will actually look like when you pull up to Tanger Outlets and see us waiting for you. 🐱☕️

So… what do you think of the sign?

We’re leaning toward something clean, bold and unmistakably RipVanWhisker — with a little Atlantic City luck, a little café charm, and a whole lot of love for cats. 🐾

And because we’re building this thing carefully, we’re looking for ways to make every dollar count. This concept uses simple dimensional foam lettering rather than expensive channel letters, while still giving the storefront the presence we want.

This isn't the final sign.
It's a glimpse at where we're headed.

From the Boardwalk to the cat lounge…

# YOU COULD BE IN A BOOK ABOUT CATS! 🐱📖

Do you have a story about a cat that made you laugh, broke your heart, changed your life, or simply made your world a little better?

My brother-in-law, **David von Schlichten**, is putting together a collection of cat stories—and **your cat could be part of it!**

He is looking for true stories about cats of all kinds. Funny. Heartwarming. Sad. Surprising. Profound. Mischievous. Those stories that make you say, *“You had to know this cat.”*

🐾 **Here’s how to submit:**

• Write **250–500 words** about your cat
• Include an **author bio of no more than 50 words**
• Your story must be **family friendly**
• If you have multiple cats, you may submit **one story per cat**
• Your story must be **original and unpublished**—including on social media
• Submit your story as a **Word document (.doc/.docx)**
• **12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced**
• **No PDFs**

📅 **Submission deadline:**
**September 30 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time**

📬 Email your submission to:

Subject line: **Cat Collection Submission**

David will respond to **every submission**, whether accepted or rejected. Authors will be notified by **October 31 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time**.

Each published author will receive **one free copy of the book**, and **all proceeds will go to organizations specializing in cat care.** 🐾❤️
