SHILOH is not only stunning, but smart and imperatively supportive to Phil, a veteran. "Shiloh takes care of me. He is a medical alert dog and goes everywhere with me."

Phil and I had a nice long discussion about how lilfe-changing dogs are for people with PTSD, anxiety, depression—how they can be the most important therapy. We talked about how so many more people, especially veterans, could benefit from having a dog.

Dogs bring so much comfort, support, and love to people who need it most. When I was publishing Unleash Jacksonville, I dedicated an entire issue to trained service dogs can literally mean the difference between life and death for veterans. Beware of RAMBO! :)

What a little cutie cute cute. I had to laugh at his name, because, well, he doesn't particularly look like a Rambo to meeee.... Rambo's dad said his 2-year-old granddaughter wanted to name him RAINBOW, but it kept coming out RAMBO. Super cute!

Say hello to Groomer! ((but do so gently, she can be a little scared when meeting new people...)

First off, Groomer's dad just got back from Italy, so these two are super happy to be together! Fischer says his faaav thing about Groomer is that she is a great cuddler... and she pulls him on his skateboard. (That's two things, but I'll allow it... she is pretty damn spectacular.) Groomer is just about 3 years old (covid puppy), and she's already lived in Colorado, California and now here. Her dad owns and he was pretty nice... so send him all your dirty biz. 🙂

For those of you who ski, you'll know where her name comes from, but I do not, so I had to ask. Apparently runs that are manicured (or groomed) by machines for velvety smooth, consistent snow... well those are called Groomers. Groomer was born in CO...so there ya go!

6-year-old CASH is an absolute sweetheart, and pretty damn handsome. 😍 I could've looked into his eyes all day. Cash's dad says watching him in his natural environment is the most amazing thing. For Cash, that's duck hunting. And he also loves his 2-year-old human brother and is very gentle with him. It will be so fun for this family to watch the two grow up together. ❤️❤️

Believe me when I say this: if you have a pet with cancer and/or trying to prevent cancer & you don't have 🍄mushrooms🍄 supplemented in your daily diet plan, you are missing out!!

New Study finds people who incorporated any variety of mushrooms into their daily diets had a lower risk of cancer and lived-longer!

University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine found Dogs with cancer that were treated with a mushroom compound
had the longest survival times ever reported for dogs with the disease!

Oh my GOSH how I love PINTO! She's the happiest girl, but definitely has RBF. 😆 Pinto is just a year and half and her daddy says she loves to cuddle all. the. time. (But that's his favorite thing about her—her stage 5 clinger-ness.) Pinto was adopted from The Jacksonville Humane Society (her shelter name was Primrose) ... Pinto's mama and dad moved here from Charlotte before they knew her because mama actually got a job at the humane society... and that's how Pinto got adopted!

Meet my new friend, ZOE! She was strolling on the beach this morning... some fresh cool weather was making us all happy! Zoe is a Whippet and just shy of 2 years old, and her dad says her silly little personality is his absolute faaaavorite thing about her! If you see Zoe out and about.... do yourself a favor and say hi. She is the sweetest cutest. 😍

HELLO DAISY!

13-year-old Daisy is in town because her parents are about to become grandparents (of a human) and they was a baby shower to prepare + celebrate! Daisy is currently living the RV life and loving it. She was diagnosed with... you guessed it... cancer :( last year, but she seems to be doing pretty well. She was chugging along, taking on the deep tide pools like they were nothing! Her mom says Daisy is the very BEST snuggler and that's mom's absolute favorite thing about her. I didn't personally get a chance to snuggle with Daisy, but MY favorite thing about her in the time we spent together was her cute teefy smile... and the fact that she was so very chill.

Meet SLIDER! (like the baseball pitch, his mama says)

Slider is 10 years old and was adopted from The Jacksonville Humane Society several years ago. After we got to talking, I found out I'd actually photographed him before on the beach when I published Unleash Jacksonville and he was in the magazine being praised for sticking by his mama and helping her heal after surgery. I thought they looked familiar! 🙂 Slider's mom's favorite thing about him is that he is always there for her and he just listens to her, no matter what she has to say. ♥️
