29 surgeries today and a fantastic team of helping hands who are good at what they do and boy… do they love animals! Grateful to our vets, our staff and our amazing volunteers. (Pictured here is a vet student who volunteered her time today and is seen loving on a rescue puppy with Because of Bubbles Rescue). We also saw animals from Island Cat Allies, Lenoir County SPCA and many owned animals and community cats. Also a special thank you to Dr Patty Dineen for leading our crew and Dr Shalini for coming in to give support!

Rescues remain overwhelmed with overpopulation. Today we altered kitties from Lenoir County SPCA. This little girl needed to stay with us for a little extra TLC and tomorrow will be spayed. Island Cat Allies agreed to take her in afterwards. We are so grateful to be able to work with other rescues and shelters because together we are all stronger and it is the animals who benefit! Adopt from ICA!

Houndor is an adoptable puppy who is ready to find a forever home. Contact Havelock Animal Control at 252-444-2712 to meet him. Prepare for happy puppy kisses! His surgery today is being sponsored by RescueFund Inc. They work hard to make sure shelter animals go to forever homes already altered. We support this mission! You can too by donating. Any little bit helps!
