I’ll never understand
How he sits patiently waiting to be given his treat
Despite living a life of every cell starved

how his eyes are sunken but somehow still soft
How every rib can be counted but his tail still wags
How he takes the treats gently from our hands
When hands have been anything but kind to him

I’ll never understand
How the humans tried to break him
How the scars didn’t go the whole way
Just halfway
His soul still trusting
His heart still pure.

Halfway needs someone to come make him whole and save his life before 7pm tonight.
Please come quickly.
We’re running out of time.

UPDATE: ✅SAFE!!! 🩷🩷🩷

I didn’t think it would come to this.

I didn’t think the doors would close tonight and she would still be inside.
I didn’t know the difference in her turning 9 months old depended on tonight.
I would have fought harder.

I thought she would be the first one out.
An 8 month old 39lb puppy on a euthanasia list.

But tonight Trilogy, still a puppy, spends her last night alone in a scary shelter. Tomorrow while most puppies will be waking up excited to play, trilogy will be waking up alone, then taking her last walk.

Trilogy has endured more trauma in her short life than most adult dogs will ever experience. She came into the shelter in July at just 2 months old. She got adopted, then was found as a stray in November after being hit by a car.

And now she’s a little stressed. Imagine that.
If you can save Trilogy you MUST BE AT THE SHELTER when they open at 11am tomorrow.
Atlanta let’s make more miracles happen.

2 years old, 52 lbs, female
Intake: 10/27 after being abandoned in a home in a crate. People friendly, loves to play fetch, cutest hop and run, house trained, dog friendly.
Gravy is located at Dekalb County Animal Control

We’re just volunteers advocating for local shelter dogs to help them get seen and saved. We do not work for the shelter or make any euthanasia decisions. All logistics questions have to be directly discussed with the shelter.
