Most dog behavior problems are unknowingly caused by the human.

That does not mean people do not love their dogs. In many cases, they love them deeply. The problem is that they do not understand what their own emotions, reactions, timing, affection, boundaries, and routines are communicating.

Fear gets consoled. Excitement gets rewarded. Anxiety gets nurtured. Unwanted behavior gets repeated because the human responds after the explosion instead of recognizing what happened before it.

Whatever you love, you get more of.

This is not about blaming people. It is about helping them understand that they are an essential part of both the problem and the solution.

When the human becomes calmer, clearer, more consistent, and more trustworthy, the dog finally receives different information.

You can’t change the dog if you don’t change the human.

Balance the Human + Rehab the Dog = Happy Life.

Today, we remember.

September 11, 2001 changed our country forever. We honor every person who was lost, every family who was forever changed, and every first responder who ran toward danger when others were running away.

And we remember the dogs.

Search-and-rescue dogs worked tirelessly through the rubble, using their incredible senses to search for those who were missing. They were brave, focused, and completely devoted to their people.

They remind us of something I believe deeply: dogs are capable of extraordinary things when we take the time to understand them and give them the opportunity to do what they were born to do.

Today, we honor them all.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸🐾
