Y'all. This little dog! Rex's 18 or so, a Shihtzu mix. His family got him when he was a couple of years old from the county shelter. He's an old man but still loves to eat and relax in the sunshine.

It's 97° with an ambient temp of 104° here in Atlanta. I have four box fans, two 6-in fans, frozen water bottles in the watering troughs and frozen fruit available trying to keep my chickens alive. I make mud puddles in their run for them to stand in. Chickens have a high body temperature, between 104-107° and don't sweat. Once temperatures reach 90° and above, it becomes dangerous, and temperatures closer to 100° or beyond can be lethal. 10° more than their typical body temp is fatal.
