Patchwork City Farms Local Farm Patchwork City Farms (PCF) is a family owned urban farm located in the South West of Atlanta in the Historic West End Neighborhood.

Patchwork City Farm's (PCF) mission is to work with local landholders, public and private, to create a sustainable, naturally grown local food system. Our farm plots are Certified Naturally Grown and we are committed to growing produce that is safe and nutritious. We do not use unsafe chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. We love nature and enjoy growing fresh vegetables for our communit

y. That is why we are dedicated to practicing sustainable agriculture. Currently, we grow vegetables, herbs and flowers. Our seasonal veggies are sold through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and local farmers markets. With your support, we can continue to grow. We welcome you to join our family

We're so excited to share that Chef Phebe Ndam (chef, cookbook author, and specialist in African Culinary Arts) will be crafting the evening's meal. ⁠

All the more reason to celebrate the Summer Solstice with us at the farm! Our time together will start with movement -- a tour of the Summer farm, shift into sharing food and filling our bellies with a farm fresh meal and potluck. A Natural Dye Activity to express our creativity and bonfire with music will round out the evening.⁠

SPRING LARB SALAD W/ CABBAGE QUARTERS⁠
⁠
Ingredients:⁠
1 Cup Mushrooms, Diced⁠
1⁄2 Cup Cauliflower, Chopped⁠
1⁄4 Cup Spring onions or Red onions, Sliced⁠
1⁄4 Cup Fresh mint⁠
1-2 Carrots, Shredded⁠
1⁄4 Lettuce or Cabbage leaves (shredded is optional)⁠
2 Limes, Juiced⁠
1 Tsp Dulse⁠
1 Tsp Raw Honey⁠
2 Tbs Sunflower Seed Oil⁠
2 Cloves Garlic, Minced⁠
1⁄2 inch piece Nub of Ginger, minced⁠
Salt and Pepper to taste⁠
⁠
Method:⁠
Mix the first six ingredients together and season to taste with⁠
salt and pepper. Let sit 10-30 minutes for flavors to mix. Serve on⁠
lettuce leaves or if shredded, over top. Squeeze lime juice over the⁠
salad, plate and enjoy!⁠

KALE SALAD⁠
⁠
Ingredients:⁠
2-3 Cups of Dinosaur Kale, Chopped⁠
1⁄4 Cup of Apples, Chopped (Fuji, Gala, or Honeycrisp)⁠
1⁄4 Cup Carrots, Shredded⁠
1⁄2 Cup of Green Beans⁠
1⁄4 Cup of Green Onions⁠
1⁄4 Cup Pumpkin Seeds, soaked 2 hours then rinsed and drained⁠
1 Clove of Garlic, Minced⁠
1 Tbs Raw Honey for Dressing⁠
2 Tbs Sunflower Seed Oil⁠
1 Tbs Coconut Aminos⁠
1 Tbs Lemon Juice⁠
⁠
Method:⁠
Place kale in a large bowl. Add apples, seeds, green onions. In a separate⁠
bowl combine well sunflower oil, seasoning, lemon juice, garlic, honey,⁠
aminos, and garlic. Pour dressing over kale salad and massage 30 seconds⁠
to 1 minute until begins to wilt and leaves are well coated. Plate and Enjoy!⁠
