Abby (on the left) is about 7 or 8 years old and Lexi (on the right) is about 8 or 9 months old. Lexi was recently adopted and we started her training program shortly after. In her intensive program we have put a really big focus on her spot command. Teaching a younger dog to lay down and stay can help in a million different ways. Potty training, chewing, barking, etc. The spot is also an amazing way to help an older dog get along with the new younger sibling. It’s not always fair to bombard our older pups with the young puppy energy 24/7. Now that Lexi knows how to stay on her spot, Abby can come and go as she pleases. So if she needs a little break from Lexi, all she has to do is walk away. At the end of our session we caught this cute little moment so I had to post a pic. This is the first time Lexi and Abby have shared a bed together.

Milo the 2.5 year old Frenchie cracks me up with those eyes 👁️👁️🤣🤣

This adorable pup had a very rough start to his life. He had very serious gastrointestinal issues that made him very weak and sickly. Unfortunately, he did not have energy to be a typical puppy. Luckily, Dr.Olsen at saved the day! Now, Milo is a healthy and happy wild man making up for lost time.

Now that Milo is healthy enough to have a more normal / typical life, he needs a little help with manners, leash walking and listening around distractions. We are about halfway through his program and he has been a great little student!!

We have been so busy this summer that it has been difficult to keep up with posting all the pups we are working with! We started Dukes program a few months ago and are actually wrapping up his last few sessions by the end of the month. This adorable little dude seems to be a Boxer / Rottweiler mix and he was about 1 year old when we started training. In Dukes program we are focusing on manners, recall, leash walking and listening around distractions. This guy has been a super star from the very start and I’m excited for the next phase of his training. We are finally ready to take the training wheels off and get him around some new distractions and into some new environments.

It’s raining Cavashons!!! I am currently working with like 5 Cavashons and they have all been great little students. This is my newest student, Lexi! Say hello to Ellie the Cavashon!! We started her basic training program a few months ago but life got crazy for her family and we had to take a break. In order to work around their busy schedule we decided to upgrade to our In-Home Intensive program. In-Home Intensive is our alternative to boarding and it typically offers the best of both worlds. We can get the dog and owner trained quickly without needing to board!! In the end, I don’t need Ellie to listen to me at my house, I need her to listen to her owner at their house.

Session 1 for Maggie the 7 month old Cavashon!!!

In session 1 we typically prefer to start with the basics and crate training. A proper introduction to the crate can help with potty training, anxiety and a long list of other undesirable behaviors. For a puppy, this crate concept in itself can really be the difference between a puppy ruling the house or a puppy minding the rules.

In Maggie’s program, we are going to focus on basic obedience, manners and overall safety.
