Running Yuppie Yorkies is one of my greatest joys, but every now and then, this Yorkie mama has to step away from the puppies and enjoy a little “me time.” 💕🐾

I love my natural hair, but I also have so much fun switching up my look! In this photo, I was wearing blonde highlights, and since it was taken during the winter, my skin was much lighter than it is now. By summertime, I turn into a beautiful chocolate glow, and I honestly love every version of me. ☀️✨

Whether I’m dressed up with makeup, rocking a fresh hairstyle, or keeping it natural, confidence starts from within. Life is too short not to have fun, embrace change, and enjoy being a girl! 💖

Now… back to my first loves—my precious Yorkies. 🐶👑

❤️ Throwback to 1995 ❤️

One of the many beautiful chapters of my life.

Before I left for college, I was engaged to an amazing Nigerian gentleman who introduced me to Fela Kuti, egusi soup, pounded yam, jollof rice, and so much more. For a little while, I almost became Mrs. Oladokun. 🇳🇬❤️

Truth be told, my admiration for Africa didn’t begin with him. Growing up, my parents encouraged us to learn about the African continent, appreciate its history, respect its people, and celebrate the richness of its many cultures. That foundation stayed with me throughout my life.

Over the years, I’ve continued to enjoy learning about the different countries across Africa—the music, food, traditions, fashion, languages, and the incredible diversity that makes the continent so beautiful.

Life took me in a different direction, but I’ve always been grateful for every experience, every lesson, and every friendship that deepened my appreciation for African culture.

Here’s to beautiful memories… and to creating many more around the world. ❤️✈️🌍
