Mira's Den

10/19/2026

We had such a fun time Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival meeting some fellow cat enthusiasts and talking about Mira's Den!

PETAL & Fetti also enjoyed the extra love and cuddles during the event! 🐈‍⬛🐈

We cannot wait to share some much awaited updates very soon!

Our Great Cat Count was a success and yielded us 217 cat mentions! However, a winner still technically can't be named, so those bragging rights will have to wait until next year! 🐈‍⬛

Until next time! Much love & purrs! - Mira's Den Team

September 11, 2001.

2,977 lives lost.

441 first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

343 FDNY firefighters and paramedics.

23 NYPD officers.

37 Port Authority Police officers.

4 planes.

More than 90 nations represented among those we lost.

Millions impacted by all the ripples of this attack.

25 years later, we remember not just the numbers, but the people behind them, the families, friends, coworkers, first responders, and communities whose lives were forever changed.

Never forget. 9.11.01.

Will Gabapentin damage my cat's kidneys? Let’s clear up the confusion.

There's a huge difference between drugs that are *nephrotoxic* (physically injure kidney tissue, like aminoglycoside antibiotics) and drugs that are simply *processed* and excreted by the kidneys (like Gabapentin or Pregabalin).

Gabapentin is considered safe for kidney cats, but because damaged kidneys excrete it more slowly, it remains in their system longer.

These cats often require a starting dose that's 50% less than the standard dose to prevent them from becoming overly sedated or wobbly.

Knowing these nuances can make all the difference.

If you're lost and concerned about medications and CKD, get on the priority list for the CKD Care Center. We work through medications and whether they're safe or not.

It's official! We’re going to Pigs & Peaches!

It’s kind of crazy to think that after so much planning, designing, and talking about everything we want Mira’s Den to become, we’re finally getting the chance to bring a little piece of it out into the community.

We are happy to announce we will be at the Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival in Kennesaw GA on October 16 & 17!! 🍑🐷

We are SO EXCITED to meet some of the people who have been supporting this idea from the beginning and hopefully meet plenty of new cat people too.

Come by, say hi, learn more about what we’re building, and hang out with us for a bit. We’ll have lots of FUN things to do as well, so stop in and show us all your cat pics!

See you in October, Kennesaw! Much Love & Purrs ~ Mira's Den Team
