RABIES ALERT: GWINNETT AND DEKALB COUNTIES ⚠️
A rabid raccoon attacked a dog in unincorporated Gwinnett County near Bethlehem, and yesterday, the raccoon officially tested positive for rabies. The attack occurred a few weeks ago. In a separate case, a bat has tested positive for Rabies this week in the Stone Mountain area. Be on alert for animals behaving strangely. It’s always best to leave wildlife alone. If you or your pet are bitten or scratched by a wild animal, seek medical attention immediately.
