IT’S WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY 💛🐾 — and today’s is extra special.
There’s a gentleman in my neighborhood who I see from time to time, always with his dog by his side. No matter how hot it is, he has his little setup with an umbrella, and one thing is ALWAYS obvious: that dog is loved. ❤️
Today, of all days, we happened to see them on Wonderful Wednesday, and I took it as a sign.
So Tuffy, the dogs & I decided we were ALL going to give a little something. 🥹🐾
Every dog contributed something for their new friend—bones, treats, toys, food, bandanas and more. We also brought a cooling mat, bowls, ice & water, a fan, cleaning wipes and anything else we had that could hopefully make this 100° heat a little more bearable.
Some of it was stuff I bought, and some of it was stuff that had been donated to us. And I kept thinking:
When we need help, I ask people to show up for us. Every donation, every item and every little act of kindness matters. So when WE have the opportunity to show up for someone else, we do.
We have air conditioning to come home to. We have cold water. We have supplies. Today, they needed those things more than we did.
Out of respect for both him and his dog, I won’t be showing their faces or identifying them. You’ll just see our little crew gathering everything and making the trip over to deliver it. ❤️
Hopefully we made their day a little easier. I know they made our Wonderful Wednesday a lot more meaningful.
So here’s today’s reminder:
If you see someone who could use a little help, help if you can.
If you see someone struggling with a dog beside them, help BOTH of them if you can.
You never truly know what someone is going through, how they got there, or when life could put any one of us in a position where we need someone else to show up.
Kindness costs nothing. Compassion matters. And sometimes a bunch of little things can mean EVERYTHING to someone else. 💛🐾

NONE of the items in this bag came from the shelter or were provided to us by the shelter. The only donated item was the cooling mat (thank you, Amy & Michelle — you are our angels from above! 🪽❤️). Everything else was purchased and paid for by me personally. So before the little trolls start claiming I’m stealing shelter supplies again—there you go. 😂
And yes, excuse the mess in the house. This is what a house looks like when you foster dogs, care for dogs and actually live in it. 🐶😂
This post isn’t about what’s on my floor, what’s in a bag or finding something to pick apart.
It’s about HELPING SOMEONE ELSE.
So please, look at this for what it is: POSITIVITY. KINDNESS. COMMUNITY. HELPING OTHERS.
Instead of searching for something negative, maybe use that energy to do something positive for someone else today. ❤️
That’s what Wonderful Wednesday is supposed to be about.
Now go do something WONDERFUL. 💛🐾
