We want to take a moment to address some concerns we’ve heard from our clients.

Recently, we partnered with a service that helped us reach out to clients to schedule overdue appointments. Our intention was simple: to help pets stay current on care they may have needed but their owners weren’t aware of, and to better support our staff so we can care for more animals. This service was not used for sales.

We’ve been made aware of rumors suggesting that client information was sold or used for sales calls. We want to be very clear — we would never sell client information or knowingly do anything to upset or inconvenience our clients. Your trust means everything to us.

That said, we understand the frustration some experienced. Because of the backlash and to ensure your comfort and peace of mind, we have ended our relationship with that company. You will no longer receive calls from them.

Our goal has always been to help our team so we can better help your pets. Many appointments were made that allowed pets to receive care they truly needed, and we’re grateful for that outcome — but we never want our efforts to come at the expense of our clients’ trust.

Thank you for your understanding, and as always, thank you for trusting us with the care of your pets. 🐾

🚨 Rabies Reminder for Pet Owners 🚨

Recently, a dog in the Chicago area tested positive for rabies. The dog had become increasingly aggressive and, after humane euthanasia, testing confirmed the viral disease.

It is believed the dog was exposed to rabies prior to being vaccinated, though the exact exposure source is still under investigation. According to the health department, rabies is a viral disease that affects the nervous system and is most commonly transmitted through the saliva of infected animals—most often from bats in the United States. In Illinois, approximately 3–4% of tested bats are positive for rabies each year.

Team Timbercrest would like to remind everyone of the importance of keeping pets up to date on yearly core vaccines:
• Dogs: Rabies, DA2PPVL, Bordetella
• Cats: Rabies, FVRCP

⚠️ By law, all pets must be vaccinated against rabies.

Keeping your pet vaccinated helps protect not only your animal, but also your family and our community by reducing the risk of future outbreaks.

If you are unsure of your pet’s vaccination status, please contact us at (217) 732-5700 or (217) 648-5800—we’re happy to help.

Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone safe
