Les recently came in for his 6-week recheck after undergoing full mouth extractions to treat stomatitis—and we’re happy to share that he’s doing well at home 💙
Before treatment, Les had been showing signs of significant oral pain for several months. Stomatitis is a severe inflammatory condition that can make eating, grooming, and daily life uncomfortable. For Les, full mouth extractions were the best path toward long-term comfort.
Even though Les can’t see us (he had a bilateral enucleation when he was younger), he never lets that slow him down. He is the sweetest boy and quickly became a staff favorite during his visits.
We loved getting to spend time with him and are so happy to see him feeling better 🐾🦷

Maru came in for his 4-week recheck and we’re happy to report his mouth has healed beautifully 💙
Although the positioning of his remaining teeth is still a little abnormal, there is currently no traumatic contact, which is great news. We’ll plan to see Maru again in 6 months for his next COHAT to continue monitoring his oral health.
A special shoutout to Maru’s mom, who has already started daily home care using dental wipes. Consistent at-home dental care plays a huge role in helping prevent periodontal disease and giving pets the best chance to keep their teeth healthy long term 🦷✨
Great job, Maru and family—we love seeing this kind of dedication to dental health!

Lucy came in for her recheck appointment and brought plenty of smiles with her 💙
Here she is hanging out with Angela, one of our veterinary nurses, during her visit. Follow-up appointments are an important part of making sure healing is on track—and Lucy is doing an amazing job.
We always love getting to see our patients again (especially when they’re this cute 🐾).

Stella came to see us after suffering a complicated crown fracture with pulp exposure—a painful dental injury that requires treatment 🦷
When the inner pulp of a tooth becomes exposed, it can lead to significant discomfort and ongoing pain. To help restore comfort and protect her oral health, Stella’s affected tooth was extracted.
One of our favorite parts of Stella’s visit? She spent the day hanging out with our team instead of staying in a cage and received plenty of extra attention while she recovered 💙
We’re so happy to help Stella get back to feeling her best.

Zoe stopped by for her recheck yesterday and she’s doing great 💙
During her procedure, Zoe needed 6 teeth extracted along with 4 retained root tips. We also found significant tooth wear (abrasion) and several fractured crowns from years of chewing on hard treats and toys.
Not all worn teeth need treatment, but when a fracture exposes the pulp (the sensitive center of the tooth), it can be painful and requires treatment—typically extraction or root canal therapy.
One of our favorite ways to help prevent dental fractures is the Thumb Nail Rule: 👍
If you can press your thumbnail into a toy or treat, it’s generally safe for your pet’s teeth. If you can’t make an indent, it’s too hard and could lead to damage.
We’re so happy to see Zoe healing well and feeling better 🦷✨

Is your cat struggling with stomatitis (FCGS)? We may be able to help.
We are currently enrolling eligible feline patients in an exciting clinical trial studying a new Hyaluronic Acid gel therapy designed to support healing and comfort after full-mouth extractions.
Potential benefits may include:
🐾 Reduced oral inflammation and pain
🐾 Faster healing after surgery
🐾 Improved recovery and comfort
Cats may qualify if they:
• Have a confirmed diagnosis of stomatitis (FCGS)
• Are candidates for full-mouth extraction
• Meet additional study requirements
Participants will also help advance veterinary medicine and future treatment options for cats suffering from this painful condition.
Please contact us to learn more about eligibility and participation requirements.

March 23 is National Puppy Day 🐶💛
Today we’re celebrating the wiggly tails, oversized paws, and endless kisses that make puppyhood so special. It’s also the perfect reminder that early veterinary care — including oral exams — plays a big role in setting puppies up for a lifetime of health.
Those tiny baby teeth may be cute, but monitoring eruption, retained deciduous teeth, and bite alignment early can help prevent discomfort and dental issues down the road.
Here’s to healthy starts, happy smiles, and all the puppy snuggles. 🐾🦷✨
Drop a photo of your puppy below — we’d love to see them!
