Auggie says Happy Monday!! This puppy Pomsky boy is here with us to work on his overall obedience and confidence while he’s still young and spry. Auggie loves to cause trouble (for him it’s not trouble, just fun) like stealing things, jumping up on counters, and he sure LOVES the sound of his own voice 🤣 we will be working to give him some more appropriate manners and outlets for all that energy and big feelings. He’s a super fun guy!

We are so excited to be enjoying our brand new training area (and so are the dogs!) 🤩

Along with a fully furnished on-site home, apartment space, and 6 acres of fenced in fields to use, having a fully enclosed and organized area to work with dogs is a perfect addition to our well-rounded training programs. We have been working on renovating our training barn for a while now and can finally see it come together! This space is amazing to use for controlled distractions, decompression, obedience training, and much more. This is also where all of our wonderful clients will get to enjoy the majority of lessons and evaluations with us! If you’re thinking of getting some training for your dog, now is the time to come see us (free evaluations!)

Say hi to Lenny and Gunner! 👋

These two live together and are here to work through some general anxiety, fear with new people, and basic obedience. They both struggle with similar issues, so they are in it together! So far we are focusing on getting them to be comfortable in their new environment with lots of positive reinforcement and decompression time. We are excited to see their progress!

Happy Friday from our field trip pack! 😄

Blitz, Sully, and Spud are all in their puppyhood and had a great exposure and socialization session today at the park! Field trips offer such great benefits to generalize dogs with different people and a new environment. These guys did a great job today seeing new things and working around distractions!

Please welcome Spud 🥔 to Greenside Canine!

This adorable boy is a 9 week old AKC Labrador Retriever, and he is the newest addition to our pre-trained pet/therapy dog program!

Spud is going to be with us for the coming months as we develop him into the absolute best friend a family could have. Around 6 months old, Spud will leave for his new home. This boy will be raised and trained on our home property in our pack of dogs, and will be given every tool and experience he needs to become the most well-rounded, stable, friendly pet or therapy dog. What exactly does that entail? In his time with us, Spud will be learning the following & more:

- basic obedience on/off leash
- potty training
- ultimate socialization on/off property (animals, places, objects, etc.)
- reliable off leash training
- & every benefit of living at a professional dog training business!

Cooper wants everyone to know that training indoors this week beats working outside 😅☀️

We’ve been so busy this summer so far with lots of 8 week behavior modification dogs! Our 8 week board and train is perfect for a dog like Cooper here. This boy is a rescue, and has had some challenges after being adopted out and returned multiple times. Luckily, his family now is very dedicated to getting Cooper on the right track and got him enrolled with us. He is here for overall obedience, learning more appropriate daily manners, and some resource guarding. So far he is proving to be very eager to learn and that is one of the best qualities we can ask for!

We hope everyone is staying cool this week! We are so blessed to have multiple indoor/outdoor areas to train so the dogs are always being worked and happy. 👏

Meera is soaking up the hot weather over here! This sweet girl is here for 6 weeks to work on all her obedience and focus on helping her dog reactivity. So far she is has been picking up on her obedience very well and having a lot of fun while doing it. Before we address more severe behaviors like dog reactivity, we want to let Meera decompress and enjoy training while learning engagement with her trainer. That way when we begin introducing dogs and other distractions, she has more stability and a relationship built with her handler.

Nova is back for boarding! We love being able to offer premium boarding services for all dogs who go through any of our programs. Not only does your dog get a supreme boarding experience while you’re away, we always brush up on their training! We can use the time they are here to polish little things they may be slacking on and keep your dog on the right track. Nova is enjoying this beautiful day!
