Don't miss out on the 2026 5K at 8am in downtown Athens on Saturday, April 18th. All participants will also receive a biscuit and a beer (21+) after finishing the 5K. Stollers, families, and walkers are welcome, but please leave pets at home. The top 25 men and top 25 women, as well as the top 5 masters men and top 5 master women, will qualify into the $10,000 Mile presented by New Balance, which is held on Saturday night on the closed criterium course. (and yes - there really is $10,000 in prize money split evenly between the men and the women!) Both the 5K and the $10,000 Mile courses are USATF certified. We are saddened to hear of the passing of Jeff Galloway, Olympian runner and beloved mentor of many American runners. Galloway supported the 1st ever in 2010 as a celebrity runner and by providing a runners clinic. Our thoughts are with his family, and we are honored to be a small part of his enduring legacy.
