“I adopted Jesse when she was 4 years old. When we met face to face in a room full of toys, she shot through a tunnel toy then rolled on her back wanting a tummy rub. I knew she was the one. She’s great at manipulation like scratching on doors to be let out, then leading me somewhere else like the bathroom where she likes to drink from the tub tap then lay on the floor mat for pets. Jesse always uses her left paw to feed herself. Before we go to sleep at night, she likes to have some “tent time”. We cover ourselves completely and she crawls all over me then rests on top of me. Finally she gets in her fleece bed, and I pet her until she falls asleep. She’s the smartest and most affectionate cat I’ve know which gives me joy!”

“Lucy’s start to life was difficult, but she has been making up for it ever since. She was one of three puppies that were saved from a ditch, and I fell in love with her at first sight. She was a hilarious, energetic, and naughty puppy that grew into a sweet, wonderful companion and star of the whole family. She loves anything that squeaks, having her amazing ears rubbed, and cuddling. She is currently going through cancer treatment, so please send good thoughts her way!”

You got to love a sweet senior pet, with an equally sweet origin story.

Here is what Bruno’s human has to say about him:
“In the fall of 2011, in a Walmart parking lot, I saw a woman holding a cardboard box full of fluffy gray kittens. Every kitten but one was sleeping. I picked up the only kitten who was awake, and I never put him back down. Bruno is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of cat. There are no words to describe the kind of bond you have with the cat that watched you grow up. He is kind, resilient, brave, and loving. His favorite place is next to me, and my favorite place is next to him. I’ve never had a vet or groomer describe Bruno as anything other than “just lovely,” “so handsome and sweet,” or “one of the best cats to work with.” He’ll be 15 in October, and I’m so grateful for the people at Boulevard for helping me keep him healthy. Every moment I can have with my little old man is worth everything!”

“Harry is a 4 year old greyhound that we adopted through Southeastern Greyhound Adoption (SEGA). He is a retired racer from Ireland, and he is thoroughly enjoying his well-earned retirement. He spends most of his time napping and collecting trinkets to place on his bed, with the occasional ultra-fast lap of the backyard.
He has the cutest ears of all time, and he often wears his left ear folded on top of his head like a hat. He and his sister, Alexa, love each other.”

“For the past several years, Dennis has been a strong competitor for the title of ‘Sweetest Boy in All the Land.’ With a face that launched a thousand ships, this senior citizen came to his current home after his previous owner passed away, and while he spent weeks sad and anxious, he’s since learned to love again — and love he does. Dennis has never seen a lap that he wouldn’t jump in, and he seizes every opportunity to be the little spoon. He’s spent a lot of time in the office recently with a recent kidney disease diagnosis, but that’s just given him an opportunity to share his sweetness with more folks. What a guy.”

“At the ripe age of 12 years old, Bobo’s favorite hobby is to curl up in a soft blankie with a good bone. But don’t let his seniority fool you, he’s still a spritely, fiesty lil guy that will greet you with all the volume of his Dachshund ancestors. He’s all bark and no bite, though, especially on account of the mere seven little teeth he’s got left.

He came into my life when I was 15 years old, and he has seen me through high school, college, moving out of state, starting my career, and my first love. He’s become just the biggest Mama’s Boy for my girlfriend, but he’ll always be my baby.”
