Have you ever wondered how it is that we magically procure urine on our patients, especially our kitty patients, when sending out lab work or screening for UTIs? We use an ultrasound guided cystocentesis - taking a thin needle and inserting it into the bladder to obtain a sample. Most of our patients don’t even notice, and for the particularly wiggly ones, we have plenty of treats readily available for distraction!

We might be biased, but we definitely have some of the cutest patients around!

Kitten season is in full swing, and we are head over heels for all of the cute kittens we have had the joy of meeting! From combo testing for FIV/FeLV and vaccinating and deworming these sweet babies, to discussing monthly prevention and spaying and neutering, we ensure these little ones and their parents start off on the right foot in their health journey. 🐾

Monday’s happy tail: This sweet momma kitty was brought to us after one of her babies got stuck in the birth canal (dystocia). Thankfully her owners reacted quickly, and we were able to save her kitten. We were thrilled to witness the happy family reunion!

Patient spotlight: Meet Durk! 🤩 He is 7 months old and deaf - a common congenital issue for white cats with blue eyes. That certainly doesn’t stop him from enjoying life, and although he likes to offer his dad “love chomps”, he is a sweet, perfect boy!
