Vet Tech week continues and today we're celebrating Jen! 🐾

Jen may be new to vet med, but she is certainly not new to animals. For years she has dedicated her time to working in rescues and fostering, with a huge heart for the strays who need someone in their corner. She has jumped into clinic life so naturally, learns incredibly quickly, and brings so much compassion to every patient she meets! She is truly one of a kind!

We could never do what we do without our amazing vet techs, and today we want to shine a spotlight on Erika!

You may see Erika in the exam room as your technician during appointments, but what you might not see is what she does behind the scenes — she's the one closely monitoring your pets during surgery, keeping them safe, and comfortable while they're in our care.

Today has been a heartbreaking day, for sure. 💔

Today we say goodbye to Dr. Davenport as she embarks on a new journey with her family.

It's hard to put into words how much she truly means to us. She is so much more than a colleague — she is our best friend.

Over the years, our lives have become completely intertwined. We will miss all of it — the late-night laughs when we should have gone home hours ago, our little get togethers outside of work, the inside jokes that only we would understand, and even the heartbreak we've experienced together. Through every high and every low, we’ve all always been right by each others sides.

We are so incredibly grateful for her compassion, her talent, her huge heart, and the memories we will cherish forever.

We love you so much, Dr. Davenport. We're cheering you on in this next chapter, and just know — you will always have a place to come home to here. ❤️

We were recently gifted this stunning painting, "Daisy the Rainbow Dog," by the talented Sarah Harmon.

Sarah painted this piece in loving memory of her grandmother, Marcia Sykes, who many of you may have known. We knew Marcia as a long-time client and friend of our clinic. Marcia passed in 2024, but those who knew her will never forget her.

If you knew Marcia, you know — she could train the biggest of dogs, could paint something beautiful out of nothing, and had a one-of-a-kind, spitfire attitude that we all loved.

We want to sincerely thank Sarah for trusting us with this beautiful tribute. We have proudly hung it in our lobby so all of our clients can enjoy it for years to come.

25 years ago today, America changed forever.

While the world watched in horror, more than 300 dogs and their handlers joined NYC’s bravest and answered the call. German Shepherds, Labradors, Goldens, Border Collies — they worked 12+ hour days at Ground Zero searching through rubble, finding survivors, and bringing closure to families.

And when there was nothing left to find, they laid beside firefighters and rescue workers who just needed a moment of comfort.

They were heroes on four legs. Many of them suffered lasting health effects from their service, but they never hesitated to serve.

Today we honor every single one of them. We promise to never forget.🐾❤️🤍💙

It’s with full hearts and teary eyes that we share some bittersweet news. Our very own Dr. Davenport is taking the next step in her career and departing from our clinic.

Dr. Davenport, there aren’t enough words for what you mean to us. You have brought so much knowledge, compassion, and joy into these walls every single day. You taught us, you lifted us, you made hard days lighter and good days unforgettable.

You are more than a colleague — you’re our best friend and our family. Watching you care for every patient like they were your own has been a privilege. Watching you grow from starting as a Vet Tech, into an even better Veterinarian has been an honor.

We are so incredibly proud of your accomplishments and so excited for this new journey for you and your family. You deserve every wonderful thing coming your way.

We will miss you beyond words. The clinic won’t be the same without your laugh in the hallways and your heart in every room.

Dr. Davenports last day is September 18th.

But this isn’t goodbye. It’s simply “see you later.”

We love you so much, Dr. Davenport. Thank you for everything. 💙🐾
