Hi all! I know we've been difficult to reach the last few weeks. Our world has been upside down and there truly seems to be no end in sight. 6 weeks ago today we lost George's Dad. There has been much to do since then with helping sort through some family matters. We also pushed through the sweltering heat to move my Mom out of her house of 43 years. 2 weeks ago George injured his back while shoeing a horse. He has tried to cut back his schedules and still work through the pain. As some of you know we also run a small dog rescue. On Friday one of our farmhands noticed a sick puppy. That puppy passed away on Saturday and now we are treating 4 more for same symptoms. Late last night we received devastating news that his sister had tried to end her life. We do not know whether he may have to fly to SC at any moment or not. To say we are hanging on by a thread would not even come close to how we are right now. I know we run a business and many expect "business as usual " but at the end of the day, we are just 2 very physically, mentally and emotionally spent people. We are so grateful for all our clients and pray for understanding and compassion as we navigate this most difficult season of our lives. Please keep us in your prayers and know that we want life to get back to normal more than anyone.

It is with great sadness we post the passing of George's Dad, George Henry Bercaw, yesterday. Please bear with us as we try to move schedules but still work through this time. We will need to move Wednesday and Thursdays schedules, possibly combining routes into 1 or 2 days. George could really use thoughts and prayers as his Dad meant the world to him. Thank you to all those who have already expressed your sympathy and offers to help. We love you all!

Sorry if you've had a hard time reaching me lately. Michelle has been subbing full time since January. She usually handles scheduling. Spring is always a busier time of the year for farriers as everyone is ready to get back in the saddle. If you are still needing an appt, please message us on Due 4 shoes Farrier Services. Give her a day or 2 to respond. Appt wait times may vary due to your location and where routes are scheduled for minimum 2 weeks out..

Cowboy Love and Bubby went kayaking on the Hiwasee today! Some of the gear they are using was my Dad's.

This weeks schedule will most likely be changed as there was a sudden death in George's family. We are waiting to hear when viewing and services may be. Thank you for patience and understanding during this time. We appreciate your business and hopefully will be back on track by Monday. If family waits until the weekend for services, then George will be able to work as usual.

Just a heads up....due to flooding and expected rainfall again today....the farrier's schedule could change in a moments notice for the next couple days. If yoy are on the schedule for today or tomorrow, please give us a heads up if your area roads are flooded. Stay safe everyone.
