We are looking to hire the perfect candidate for our part time veterinary receptionist position. We are looking for a mature and responsible individual. The position will be for Wednesday and Thursday 6:45-5:00 pm and also will need to be available to cover full time receptionists vacation and sick days.
A veterinary receptionist's primary role is to be the first point of contact for clients at a veterinary practice. They are responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Greeting clients: Welcoming clients and their pets in person and by phone
Scheduling appointments: Setting appointments, procedures, and follow-up care
Managing client records: Collecting and maintaining patient and owner information
Processing payments: Collecting payments for services and medication
Educating clients: Providing information about pet health and well-being
Managing the reception area: Keeping the reception area clean and presentable, and managing client flow
Selling products: Promoting and selling pet food, grooming supplies, and other products
Communicating with doctors and management: Relaying information to and from clients to doctors.
Veterinary receptionists should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be organized, and be able to multitask. They should also be friendly, calm, and professional.
