Hi! My name is Sally. I am a small 12-year-old female spayed cat. My mom moved into assisted living, and I miss having someone to cuddle. I am very calm, like to sleep with you, and enjoy peace and quiet. I like going out on the screened-in porch for a few minutes and watching the birds from my window seat. I have lived with other cats and dogs. I am very healthy! My last vet visit was three months ago; my bloodwork and teeth were perfect! I come with everything you need to take care of a kitty, and veterinary visits are free if you take me to my regular vet. Please call my human sister Paula at 706-255-1221 to meet me 😊

We are thrilled to announce that Canine Grooming Services are returning to Hope Animal Medical Center starting May 4, 2026!

Please join us in welcoming Chaz to the Hope Family as our full-time, in-house groomer. He will be available Monday through Friday, providing grooming and bathing appointments daily.

Because availability will be limited, we encourage you to call now to get your pet scheduled and secure a spot on his calendar.

UPDATE: HOME FOUND

We are currently seeking a loving home for a sweet kitten that was found yesterday and brought to our clinic today. The kitten is approximately 4 weeks old and will require assistance with feeding and elimination at this stage.

In light of the recent rabies-positive cat reported in the Athens area, we strongly recommend making sure your pets are current on their rabies vaccination.

If cost is a concern, this is a great opportunity to get your pet vaccinated at a lower cost. 🐾

🚨 **Rabies Alert for Athens-Clarke County** 🚨

Athens-Clarke County Animal Services has confirmed a positive rabies case in the area and is reminding residents to take precautions to protect their pets and families.

Rabies is a SERIOUS and FATAL DISEASE that can spread through bites or contact with saliva from infected wildlife. Common carriers in our area include raccoons, bats, foxes, and skunks.

🐾 What you can do to protect your pets:
• Make sure your pets are current on their rabies vaccinations
• Avoid contact with wildlife and do not approach animals that appear sick or behaving unusually
• Keep pets supervised outdoors and avoid letting them roam
• Report any suspected rabid wildlife to local animal control

If your pet is not up to date on their rabies vaccination, please give us a call so we can help protect them. RABIES VACCINATION IS REQUIRED BY LAW and is the best protection for your pet.
