It is with great sadness that I find myself announcing that due to some personal health reasons l have been struggling with over the last year, I am just no longer able to maintain the running of my cattery. While it will be an extended one, this is a hiatus for Sakura Shorthairs - I have every intention of reopening once my health is back on solid ground. Socials will be staying up so I don’t have to create new ones later on.
That being said, it is with a different but likewise very painful sadness that I also now find myself announcing that I will be *drastically* downsizing. In other words, while I am keeping a couple of my queens as personal pets, my remaining babies (CFA registered ) are now up for rehoming for an also *drastically* lowered rate. It’s never been about the money. The whole reason I am doing this is because I am no longer able to keep up with them and provide the care and full amount of attention that they deserve. And while I love them, and it is particularly sad and bittersweet to part with them in this way, I LOVE them. So, much as it hurts my heart for selfish reasons, I’m going to be doing the best by my babies.
If you are interested in learning about my newly available cats, and possibly becoming their new pet parent, please feel free to reach out to me at any of my own social that are listed on my bio, at any time. (Text is usually the best/fastest way to reach me.) Ask for Christian. 😊
✨AVAILABLE ✨
Wasabi - adult chocolate spotted tabby male
Akira - young adult chocolate pointed male
Sushi - adult lilac female
Sashimi - adult lilac female
Sushi and Sashimi are sisters and litter mates and have been together their whole life. It is genuinely important to me to try and find them a home together…it would honestly bring my heart some pretty great relief to see that happen. I want this transition to be as smooth and pain/stress free for all of the babies, if possible. As such, I will absolutely be willing to figure out some kind of deal so that the sisters find a new home together. I am willing to do the same for any kind of multi cat adoption.
I just want them all to be settled in their new forever homes as quickly as possible, where they are being loved and safe. Right now I am literally physically incapable of taking care of them in the manner I would prefer, and which they deserve. So much as it kills me to do so, I still want to get them somewhere where they are getting the attention and care that I just can’t give them right now.
