Love your dog… but wish everyday life with them was a little easier? 🐾

Walks shouldn’t leave your arm sore. Having company shouldn’t mean holding your dog back at the door. And relaxing at home shouldn’t feel like a constant round of “no,” “stop,” and “get down.”

At Cane Sportivo in Ashville, our Board & Train programs help build the skills that make life with your dog more enjoyable:

✔️ Walking politely on a leash
✔️ Greeting people without jumping
✔️ Coming when called
✔️ Waiting at doors and settling on place
✔️ Listening around everyday distractions

From puppy foundations to advanced off-leash obedience, we tailor training to your dog and your goals—with 40 years of combined training experience behind every program.

And we help YOU carry that progress home. Our obedience programs include a go-home lesson, an in-home follow-up, unlimited support, and free group training sessions for life.

With the holidays approaching, now is a great time to work toward calmer greetings, better manners, and a dog you can include in more of your life. 🍂

📍 Located in Ashville, Alabama—welcoming clients from across Alabama and surrounding states!

🐾 Before you commit to six weeks of obedience classes, try training that fits YOU.

Why sign up for an entire course before you know if it’s the right fit? And why limit your progress to a set curriculum when you can get coaching on the goals that matter to you?

Cane Sportivo’s Open Mat offers flexibility, individual instruction, and room to keep growing.

✅ No six-week commitment. Pay per session and come when your schedule allows.

✅ Your dog. Your goals. Work on leash manners, reliable obedience, focus around distractions, or skills beyond the basics- want to work on your jump or teach your dog to go over the A-Frame, focused heeling, tricks- we got you!

✅ Experienced coaching. Learn from high-level trainers with 40 years of combined experience in pet obedience and working dog sports.

✅ Distractions with guidance. Practice around other dogs and people while getting help with timing, handling, and communication.

✅ Progress beyond graduation. Keep building your skills, explore Canine Good Citizen titles, or work toward more advanced obedience or sport titles.

Open Mat isn’t an unstructured playgroup—it’s guided training with coaching tailored to you and your dog.

🐾 Welcome Dallas to Cane Sportivo!

Dallas is joining us for our Basic Obedience Board & Train! We’ll be building a solid foundation in leash manners, recall, place, and everyday obedience to help make life at home more enjoyable.

We’ll also focus on his willingness to give up items when asked—including things he’s decided belong to him! Through clear guidance and structured practice, we’ll work on building trust, improving impulse control, and making those moments calmer and more cooperative.

We’re excited to get to work with you, Dallas! 🎓🐾

🐾 Welcome Silvie and Starla to Cane Sportivo!

These two German Shepherd puppies are here for our Puppy Foundations program—and if they look familiar, their littermate Nova just graduated! Now it’s their turn to start building the skills for a lifetime of learning. 🖤🐾

We’ll be working on leash manners, recall, basic obedience, place, crate training, and polite everyday behavior, along with confidence building and positive exposure to new environments. Each girl will also get individual training time to develop her own confidence and connection with her handler.

We’re excited to get to know these sisters and share their progress. Welcome to school, Silvie and Starla! 🎓
