🌱 First homegrown harvest of the season! Come pick up some Garlic Scapes this afternoon, 5 scapes for $1.00 🌱

But what exactly is a garlic scape?

Garlic scapes are the curly green flower stalks that grow from hardneck garlic plants. They’re removed to help the garlic bulbs grow larger, and the bonus is that they’re absolutely delicious! They have a mild garlic flavor that’s sweeter and less intense than garlic cloves.

Ways to enjoy garlic scapes:
🧄 Chop and sauté them like green beans or asparagus🧄 Add them to stir-fries, eggs, soups, or roasted vegetables
🧄 Grill them whole
🧄 Blend them into pesto, dips, or compound butter

They’re only available for a short season, so grab some while they’re fresh!

Greenhouse Update: all that’s left is out front of the greenhouse (the inside of the greenhouse is closed). We still have some herbs, heirloom tomatoes, hot peppers, cauliflower, red cabbage & collards. We also have seeds, onion sets & potato sets in the depot building. Happy Planting 👩🏼‍🌾
