It’s another Friday and here we are again trying to keep our doors open. The huge amount of stress that goes along with rescues that work hard to make a difference is more than most people realize. When we have to say “no” to every phone call, every PM, every email… it is gut-wrenching.

Why are animal rescues needed?

Animals have been failed by someone. Most times animals have been abandoned, neglected, abused, and often need rehabilitated.
It’s no small job and it takes patience, dedication, and determination to do the very best for each individual case.

Sadly, what comes along with good intentions?

Heartache, worry, and lots of stress are just a few of the rollercoaster of emotions that overwhelm all involved in rescue work. Every. Single. Day.

Most people don’t realize the financial woes we, along with other rescue friends, face daily. Honestly, we don’t know how much longer we can hold on. Our wonderful staff and volunteers work tirelessly to fundraise, to nurture our animals, and to love them as their own. We’ve witnessed numerous organizations having to make beyond difficult decisions. We are one of those that cannot keep up at this rate.

There is NO FUNDING for 501c3 organizations. It’s all fundraising, donations, and grants (when available).
