Whiskers of the Heart Rattery

10/16/2026

FYI FOR ALL ANIMAL OWNERS AND THEIR SCENT SENSITIVE HUMANS

Dawn has changed their fresh scent to fresh clean scent and its has a strong perfume smell.

Be careful what you grab the rats and most other animals will not tollerate the new version.

Due to another medical emergency and ongoing health issues breeding was postponed.

We are unsure at this time when we will have babies available again.

We apologize to all those on the wait list still looking to adopt with us. We will post an update as soon as we have pairings started.

Thank you for your patience and sticking with us.

Our friends at Bernie's Buddies have some rescues available for adoption!

Our little Lemi is home from the vet and resting up. Attached is a copy of the bill for his procedure. So far we have raised $165 of it. If you can help in any way, we would greatly appreciate it.

Some info on the bill has been covered for privacy because the account is under a volunteers name who paid the full bill out of pocket so that we didn't have to wait longer for his surgery. We would like to be able to raise the rest of the funds to pay them back.

Thanks to everyone who volunteers, shares posts, donates, etc. We couldn't do this without you!

Lemi is now lemonless!

We dropped him off early this morning for his surgery. Just got the call that it went well and he is resting until pick up time this afternoon.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far to help him. We still need additional funds to cover the bill. Anything helps!

Cuddles with mom!

We have a situation with another rescue asking for help. It would be a large intake of about 40 rats.

Unfortunately, with my health we are unable to help other than temporarily providing cages.

If you think you are able and willing to foster please reach out to us!

*Update Lemi*

Lemi the Lemon is still too sour !
He’s has decided to be the big bad bully because his hormones are out of wack! He currently can’t hangout with friends until he is fixed. We are so grateful to have raised 50% of the surgery costs, but we need to raise the other half! This boy is so special and deserves this opportunity! He only has 3 legs and shouldn’t even be alive today. Please consider helping add some sugar and making Lemi lemonade.
