R Veterinary at Ashland

10/16/2026

Great way to start the last day of Veterinary Technician appreciation week…. Two technician’s, a doctor, a kitty and the beginning of a spay surgery.

So proud of and thankful for the dedication and hard work the technicians demonstrate EVERY day of EVERY week of the year not just at our Ashland location, but at every R Veterinary location across the State.

To each of our Technicians…. Thank you for all that you do for our Patients, our Clients and for our Company…. Each of you truly are our Stars!

Ashland, you showed up.

Last week more of you saw, liked, shared and commented on this page than ever before. Some of you met Dr. Josey Bush for the first time, some of you helped us celebrate Ellecia’s three years as a tech, and a lot of you just stopped by to say hi. We noticed, and it meant a lot to this crew.

Thank you for trusting us with your pets. We’re truly grateful.

Tell us in the comments: who’s your pet, and who’s their favorite person on our team?

Today I want to give a huge SHOUT OUT to Ellecia… aka E…

Today marks her Veterinary Technician Birthday. Three years ago today, October 9th, E started working for our R Veterinary Columbia clinic and then she later transferred to our Ashland location.

It has been a true joy watching her grow over the past few years and we look forward to seeing the new heights she will soar to over the next three!

E… thank you for the hard work and love you have given to our patients and their owners over these last few years. Thank you as well, for the dedication and all of the effort you have shown and continue to show daily, in making R Veterinary a success in both Ashland and Columbia!

And yes… Joe really did make her put on that silly birthday cone hat! 😁

Getting To Know Your Veterinarian... Dr. Josey Bush

From an early age, Dr. Bush had a deep love for animals and today she is living her childhood dream of being a veterinarian! Whether it was learning skills growing up on the family's sheep farm or graduating from the University of Missouri's School of Veterinary Medicine she has continued to develop her natural talent of caring for and improving the lives of animals. She has a gift, she has a passion and she has the skills, but most of all she possesses something that just cannot be taught... and natural ability to connect to the animals she provides care for and treats.

Whether it is simply seeing her patients routinely to keep them healthy, providing minor emergency care or performing surgeries... one thing is certain, the level of care she provides to each and every patient is, and always will be, the best she can give.

Dr. Bush Fun Fact(s): Her favorite procedure is a Dental Cleaning.

R Veterinary is proud to have one of the best and finest, certainly one of the most passionate and caring, veterinarians serving the Ashland Community.
