C. A. E. is an equestrian training program focusing on producing equine athletes and riders.

A little about myself:
I have been an event rider since my first lesson at age 8. Getting my start through the United States Pony Club, I have a strong background in horse management and a "horse comes first" outlook. With wins at every level along the way, I have my sights set on progressing my own personal skills and moving up to the advanced level of the sport. I hope to continue successfully training young horses and teaching students of all ages about this sport that has captured my heart.

James Burtwell has been an integral part of the US eventing team for years, coaching riders like Liz Halliday, Boyd Martin, and Jenny Brannigan. In Europe, he specialized in producing young dressage horses up the grades from just backed to Grand Prix.

Join us Saturday the 29th for a much anticipated classroom session on digestion, nutrition, and supplements. We’ll start with the basics of the equine digestive system and learn how that differs from human digestion. Then we’ll break for some lunch and then move on to supplements. I will answer some of the mysteries surrounding what is just marketing tricks and what is proven science and give you the tools to shop for what your horse needs. RSVP today!

As we settle into our new fall schedules with school starting, we need one more person to join our team!
Looking to find someone Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 4-6pm to help finish up barn chores.

• Training pay is $11, starting pay is $14 per hour.
• Duties include: blanketing, turnout, stall cleaning, stall waters and hay, and prepping feed for the next day

Jumper DERBY classes this Saturday at our schooling show!
• Same class price, new fun adventure!
• The courses will be modified to be appropriate for each level, for example, the cross rails class will just have 8 small cross rails set in the grass, 2 foot class will be verticals only, starter (2’ 3”) will consist of 8 show jumps followed by 3 cross country fences, etc.
• Course maps will be posted at the start area and in warm up.
• The remainder of xc is open to school at a discount of $30 for Saturday only

This weekends course with be straightforward and inviting for green horses and green riders but as the fall goes on, each course will provide a bit more challenge 💪🏼

This Saturday July 18 we have our next schooling jumper show and Stony River Farm! The courses will be starting to have a bit more challenge this time of year but they will be straightforward and the lower levels are very friendly. We have a very encouraging atmosphere and we cheer each other on no matter what!

I think that was the most fun I’ve ever had at a horse show 🥹🤩
What a team. What a wonderful group of horses.
Between healing old wounds, falling in love with our horses, whimsy-maxing, not to mention competing and putting into practice all the skills and lessons we train for everyday, I could not be more grateful. 💚
