Penny and Sage’s story is one we won’t forget.

These two sweet girls were found as stray puppies on Christmas Day in Texas by a Good Samaritan who was on his way to the airport to fly home to Asheville. When he spotted them, he couldn’t bear the thought of leaving them behind. He canceled his flight, rented a car, and drove them all the way home instead.

Once in Asheville, he brought them straight to Pet Vet for checkups, vaccines, and treatment for fleas and hookworms. From there, their new lives began. He adopted Sage himself and found a loving home nearby for her sister Penny so they can still enjoy regular play dates together.

Today they came in for their “Big Girl” shots and we’re happy to report they both appear to be in great health 💗

From abandoned on Christmas Day to safe, loved, and thriving… these girls are true little miracles.
