We are so excited to celebrate National veterinary technician week at AHNA this week! We are lucky to have both skilled Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants helping care for your pets! Drop a thank you for our team in the comments below!

🐾 Appreciation starts with utilization!

Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! 💙

Veterinary technicians bring valuable knowledge, skills, and compassion to patient care every day. One of the most meaningful ways practices can recognize their contributions is by empowering them to use those skills to their fullest potential.

Clear roles, standardized workflows, and thoughtful delegation help veterinary teams work more efficiently while supporting collaboration and high-quality patient care.

From initial assessments and anesthesia monitoring to client education and follow-up care, credentialed veterinary technicians play an essential role throughout the patient journey.

The 2023 AAHA Technician Utilization Guidelines offer a sample standardized workflow to help practices make the most of their teams' unique skills.

Fireworks will begin ramping up tonight through Sunday. Remember to keep your pets (not just our canine friends) securely indoors and create a calm and safe place. White noise, pheromone sprays, Thundershirts, etc can all make a great improvement in fear and anxiety related to fireworks. Reach out to our team TODAY if your pets needs a medication refill to help them. 🐾

As we prepare for a weekend of celebrations and fireworks, now is a great time to remind your community about holiday pet safety. 🎆🐾

Encourage pet owners to keep pets indoors during fireworks and make sure their ID tags and microchip information are up to date. For more Fourth of July pet safety tips from experts at the ASPCA Poison Control, read more here:
