Sneak peek at a special wedding day bandana!

We used an embroidery machine for the lettering, and the floral was all done by hand.

For those who haven't heard, our little town of Swannanoa was devastated by Hurricane Helene coming up on one year ago.

We lost a lot, including friends. The same year, I had two major surgeries and suddenly lost my main source of income.

Recovery, on all fronts, has taken quite a lot of time - and is still underway.

Our family, and thus Threadcraftian, needed to take a break to regroup and decide what came next for us.

We've decided to stay in the area for one more year, and are going to re-open at a much slower pace than we were cranking at in 2024.

Our website is staying on the backburner for now, but our Etsy shop will be reopening shortly.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on us, supported our choice to take some time to re-orient, and been outrageously patient during a season of our life that can only be described as seismic.

We hope you'll visit our Etsy shop soon, or that we'll see you at local markets around Asheville this fall.

A webpage and a spreadsheet - both are living documents that change as things are updated so you get the best info fast. If you need better Wi-Fi to access these, they have Wi-Fi kicking at the Register of Deeds (downtown on the roundabout about a block behind the courthouse.)

Two hour delay at school 🥱

I’m not terribly focused on my business crafts right now, so I am wandering.

We have a Habitat for Humanity Restore nearby that I love to stroll through. Today I scored a beautiful leaning bookcase that matches all our dark/cherry furniture that needs just a tiny bit of TLC and will be excellent for our family’s plant obsession.

I also scored some really nice blankets with embroidered monograms that I can easily remove and embroider something better onto. I had to stop myself from bringing home a bunch of glass to etch…I really love glass.

Sometimes I wish I was able to stay in one lane in order to stay niched into my fabric-based business and just make and sell in that medium…but I just love *making*.
